Why

Because it is becoming harder and harder to see honeybees and wild bees flying around our gardens where they once thrived and after reading a headline in the “San Francisco Chronicle” that stated “Bees on their knees, Gardeners to the Rescue”, we decided to take action.
We are beekeepers, gardeners and city farmers so… why wait to take the lead in a project that helps get closer gardeners, bee people (instructors, apiary inspectors, beekeepers, beekeepers associations, bee suppliers) and bees?
We are vendors at Hillsborough Farmers Market on Saturday mornings and at several Farmers Markets of the area during the weekdays, this circumstance gives us the opportunity to chat with a lot of people, we take the observation hive once a month for the delight of kids and adults.
Most of our customers that recognize the value of local honey have shown concern about what is happening with honeybees and “Colony Collapse Disorder”, this concern has made them focus on the importance of honeybees as pollinators, not just as honey-makers.

Bringing back the bees is literally and simply this, a project to bring back the bees to your garden serving as a connection that get closer beekeepers-to-be and the ones who are already deeply and knowledgeable involved in beekeeping.
